O listă a reclamanților este prezentată în apendice. Faptele cazului, astfel cum au fost prezentate de solicitanți, pot fi rezumate după cum urmează. În perioada 1991-1992 forțele paramilitare sârbe au obținut controlul asupra a aproximativ o treime din teritoriul Croației și au proclamat „Regiunea Autonomă Serbă din Krajina”. La începutul lunii august 1995, autoritățile croate au anunțat intenția lor de a lua măsuri militare în scopul de a recupera controlul asupra Krajina. Operațiunea a fost codenumită „Storm” și a avut loc de la 4 la 7 ani. August 1995. Înainte de acțiune militară, marea majoritate a populației Krajina a fugit din Croația. Rudele apropiate ale reclamanților care au stat în Croația au fost ucise în august 1995 pe teritoriul Krajina, presupus de soldați croați. Se pare că ancheta privind uciderea rudelor reclamanților este încă în așteptare. Reclamanții se plâng în conformitate cu aspectul procedural al articolelor 2 și 14 din Convenție cu privire la lipsa unei anchete eficace privind uciderea rudelor lor și că faptul că au fost uciși doar din cauza originei lor etnice sârbe nu a fost luată în considerare. Salman v. Turcia [GC], nr. 2886/93, ECHR 2000-VII), a fost efectuată o anchetă în prezent de către autoritățile interne, conform cerințelor prevăzute la art. 2 din convenție? Autoritățile competente și-au respectat obligația procedurală în temeiul articolului 14 din Convenție de a investiga dacă există vreun motiv în spatele uciderii rudelor reclamanților care ar putea fi legate de originea lor sârbă (a se vedea mutatis mutandis Šečić c. Croația , nr. 40116/02, § 66, CEDO 2007 VI)? The applicants are all Croatian nationals of Serbian ethnic origin. A list of the applicants is set out in the appendix.
The circumstances of the case
The facts of the case, as submitted by the applicants, may be summarised as follows.
During 1991 and 1992 Serbian paramilitary forces gained control of about a third of the territory of Croatia and proclaimed the “Serbian Autonomous Region of Krajina”. At the beginning of August 1995 the Croatian authorities announced their intention to take military action with the aim of regaining control over Krajina. The operation was codenamed “Storm” and took place from 4 to 7
August 1995. Before the military action, the vast majority of the population of Krajina fled Croatia.
The applicants’ close relatives who stayed in Croatia were killed in August 1995 on the territory of Krajina, allegedly by Croatian soldiers.
It appears that the investigations into the killing of the applicants’ relatives are still pending.
The applicants complain under the procedural aspect of Articles 2 and 14 of the Convention about the lack of an effective investigation into the killing of their relatives and that the fact that they were killed only because of their Serbian ethnic origin was not taken into consideration.

[GC], no. 21986/93, ECHR 2000-VII), has there been an investigation in the present cases by the domestic authorities, complying with the requirements under Article 2 of the Convention?
