What you may want
to know about Precedentia.
Precedentia is a case-law search platform for lawyers in the Republic of Moldova and Romania. It brings the judgments of four courts into a single database, with keyword search, natural-language semantic search and an AI legal assistant.
Four courts: the European Court of Human Rights, with judgments from 1959; the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, from 2008; the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova, from 1995; and Romania's High Court of Cassation and Justice, from 2003.
Keyword search returns documents containing the terms you type, with operators and filters. Semantic search interprets the meaning of a question written in plain language and finds conceptually relevant cases even when they use different wording.
Yes. Precedentia publishes Romanian translations of ECtHR judgments, marked as such on each case, alongside the original English or French text.
Every case page offers citations in Bluebook, OSCOLA and BibTeX formats, plus a link to the official source. Precedentia is an independent research aggregator; the authoritative text remains the one published by the court.
From the courts' official sources: HUDOC for the ECtHR, jurisprudenta.csj.md for the Supreme Court of Justice, constcourt.md for the Constitutional Court, and scj.ro for Romania's High Court of Cassation and Justice.
