Precedentia starts from an essential reality of the legal profession. For any lawyer or professional drafting a legal act, giving an opinion on a draft law, pleading before a court, or making any other legal argument, knowledge of applicable case law is essential.

Four courts, one space
All decisions are automatically synced from their official sources. ECtHR cases are translated into Romanian.
How the data is built
Automatic synchronisation. Judgments are pulled daily straight from the official sources — HUDOC (ECtHR), jurisprudenta.csj.md, constcourt.md and scj.ro/iccj.ro — with no manual editing of the text. Every case page states its original source and links directly to it.
Transparent translations. For ECtHR cases we use the official Romanian translation from HUDOC where one exists. Where it does not, we provide a machine translation, visibly marked as such on the case page — and the original text (English or French) always remains available alongside it, in a separate tab.
Correct citation. Every case offers Bluebook, OSCOLA and BibTeX citation formats, plus structured metadata (court, number, date, articles invoked) verifiable against the official source.
Precedentia is an independent research aggregator, not an official source and not a substitute for legal advice. The authoritative text of any judgment is the one published by the issuing court, indicated on each page.
