Comunicat la 2 octombrie 2019 CUARTA SECȚIUNE Cererea nr. 50012/17 István IKOTITY și alții împotriva Ungariei și a altor două cereri (a se vedea lista anexată) OBIECTUL CAUZEI Reclamanții se referă la deciziile de amendare ale reclamanților, membrilor opoziției parlamentului, pentru a afișa afișe în diferite date la sesiunile parlamentare. Reclamanții au contestat fără succes deciziile Președintelui de a reduce remunerația lor lunară înaintea Comitetului pentru Imunitate și a Parlamentului. Reclamanții se plâng în temeiul articolului 10 din Convenție că sancțiunile impuse lor constituie o încălcare a dreptului lor la libertate de exprimare. Ei se plâng în continuare că nu există nici un remediu eficient disponibil pentru a contesta sancțiunile susținute, în încălcarea articolului 13 citit coroborat cu art. 10 din Convenție.

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The applications concern the decisions to fine the applicants, opposition members of parliament, for displaying posters on various dates at the parliamentary sessions. The applicants unsuccessfully challenged the Speaker’s decisions to reduce their monthly remuneration before the Immunity Committee and the Parliament. The applicants complain under Article 10 of the Convention that the sanction imposed on them amounted to a breach of their right to freedom of expression. They further complain that there was no effective remedy available to them to challenge the sanctions sustained, in breach of Article 13 read in conjunction with Article 10 of the Convention.
