The applicant’s complaints under Article 6 § 1 and Article 13 of the Convention concerning the excessive length of criminal proceedings and the lack of any effective remedy in domestic law were communicated to the Polish Government (“the Government”), who submitted observations on the admissibility and merits. By letter dated 20 March 2024 the Government’s observations were forwarded to the applicant, who was invited to submit his comments by 2 May 2024. No response has been received. By letter dated 14 June 2024, sent by registered post, the applicant was notified that the period allowed for submission of his observations had expired on 2 May 2024 and that no extension of time had been requested.
