The applicant, Mr Aleksey Vladimirovich Shirokozhukhov, was born in 1988. He was represented before the Court by Mr O.S. Sidorin, a lawyer practising in Moscow. The applicant’s complaints under Article 5 §§ 3 and 4 of the Convention concerning the length of his house arrest and delayed review of house arrest orders were communicated to the Russian Government (“the Government”). By letter dated 2 January 2019, sent by registered post, the applicant was notified that the period allowed for submission of his observations had expired on 27 March 2018 and that no extension of time had been requested.
